Literate Chicks Bios

	Kim developed a love for reading after discovering Ramona the Pest and Pippi Longstocking as a child, and continues to read pretty much anything in print, including billboards, traffic signs and milk cartons. Kim likes books that challenge conventional wisdom and are thought-provoking, and despises flat characters. Her favorite authors include Margaret Atwood, Russell Banks and Annie Proulx, and her favorite character is Scout from To Kill A Mockingbird. When not devouring a book, you can find her on the golf course, at the gym or shoe shopping. She lives in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband and a very spoiled Basset Hound.
	Suzanne has an insatiable appetite for books and travel. She likes to alternate reading literature she can sink her teeth into with mystery novels set in exotic locations, and has little patience for predictable plot lines. Nick Bantock, Jasper Fforde, Martha Beck, and Jan Willem van de Wetering are among her favorite reads, as well as some Hispanic literature and the Harry Potter series. Suzanne is a half-Czech photographer/travel writer/foreign language buff at heart, a piano player in a previous life, and a number cruncher by day. She hangs out with her horseracing, cat wrangling husband in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle, Washington.
	Jennifer is a semi-mature book lover who has refined her taste in books as her free time has found itself fleeting away. She now loves books that are quirky, have interesting and downright weird characters, along with books that just have a good story to tell. Jennifer has a “black and white” taste in books and either will devour a book or put it down indefinitely if the characters do not amuse, cannot be related to, or seem drab to her. Her favorite authors include Wally Lamb, Amy Tan, and a bunch of first-time novelists that Jennifer hopes are good for another worthy read. If Jennifer isn’t reading, she can be found either painting, traveling, or re-decorating her house just outside Durango, Colorado.
